Join VIA's Social Education staff week
16-18 April 2024, VIA hosts an international staff week focused on social education and how it contributes to solving challenges in a changing welfare society in cooperation with different actors.
At the staff week, you will get knowledge, research and methods in didactics and education with competent academic staff and groups of students. Visits to different types of institutions in Viborg Municipality. Networking and sharing.
Participation is free, but travel and accommodation is at your own expense.
VIA University College offers Staff Weeks with various themes throughout the year.
The purpose of Staff Weeks is to get new inspiration, strengthen the relationship between the participating institutions through networking, knowledge sharing and discussions of best practices within and across professions - all in an international environment.
Content
The content of each Staff Week varies according to the theme, but the programme normally consists of an introduction to VIA University College, presentations and workshops regarding relevant theoretical, practical and contemporary topics, visits to institutions, networking activities, cultural and social events.

The staff week is a joint initiative between the departments of Teacher Educationa and Social Education with the aim of fostering international collaboration and bring global perspectives into educational environments. The schedule will alternate between workshop contributions and opportunities to network and exchange perspectives with colleagues and students.
