Building a phone-controlled kart from scratch: programming and mechanical skills

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Students will have to motorize a pedal car, add an Arduino controller and develop a web app to control the vehicle.

GOALS OF THE PROJECT

  • Learn about servo motors, electrical motors and their controllers
  • Learn about UART and bluetooth communication (BLE)
  • Learn about microcontrollers (Arduino)
  • Learn how to create a web app to pilot your small car

The week is intended for at least second year students who master basics in Automation, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, IT, etc.
Please note that as places are limited (around 25 international students), EPHEC will deal with them on a first come, first served basis.

Registration is compulsory and first goes through Fontys ICT, preferable before December 15th. Then also through the link on the EPHEC webpage.

PRICE INCLUDES
The price of €290 includes meals (breakfast, lunch and 1 supper), accommodation (Hostel Bruegel, located in the center of Brussels), visits and material.
