Project Ethical Hacking – Capture the Flag (CTF)

Halmstad University invites you to join its international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) in Ethical Hacking, where you will develop advanced practical skills in penetration testing, cybersecurity, and digital forensics while collaborating with students from across Europe.

This 3 ECTS course combines a four-week online learning period with a one-week on-campus experience in Halmstad, Sweden. Throughout the programme, you will work alongside students from across Europe, tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges, and put your skills to the test during a live Capture the Flag (CTF) competition.

During the programme, you will:

  • Analyse systems and identify vulnerabilities using ethical hacking techniques.
  • Apply penetration testing methodologies in controlled laboratory environments.
  • Collaborate with international teams on realistic cybersecurity scenarios.
  • Participate in a live Capture the Flag (CTF) competition.
  • Explore the legal and ethical principles of cybersecurity.

By participating, you will gain valuable hands-on experience that is highly relevant for a career in cybersecurity. Upon successful completion, you will receive 3 ECTS credits and a Certificate of Attendance while expanding your international professional network.

The programme is free of charge.
Your participation includes all course activities, lunches, one dinner, and social and cultural events during your stay in Halmstad. Please note that travel and accommodation are not included, although these costs may be eligible for Erasmus+ funding through your home university.
