Abstract for the BIP "Living Narratives"
École de Design Nantes Atlantique is organizing a new international project week in October 2026.
The workshop is focused on immersive storytelling, exploring new forms of narrative through interactive and spatial experiences.
Over the course of one week, students will collaboratively design and produce an interactive immersive installation, combining branching narratives, audiovisual production, and virtual production using generative AI tools. The programme will take place in a dedicated environment including a green screen studio and tracking technologies, enabling experimentation with real-time 3D and spatial interaction.
The workshop is open to students with backgrounds in multimedia, storytelling, interactive design, sound production, or real-time 3D, who are eager to explore new forms of narrative and collective creation.
This programme is designed as a hands-on, experimental and collaborative experience, bringing together international students and faculty around emerging practices in immersive media. See more info in the flyer through the orange button.

Open to 20 students, advanced English speakers, enrolled in digital studies, architectural design, urban design, fashion and textile design (bachelor/master levels).

The virtual session introduces participants to the historical, cultural, and technical dimensions of weaving, linking it to urban and symbolic networks. A masterclass by Gabriel.dk will explore textile materials and design applications, complemented by a hands-on tutorial from a professional artisan. Students will be encouraged to create an initial individual pattern and reflect on materials they may bring to integrate into the collaborative workshop.
